The Mish Mash Festive Fifty for 2007

In homage to John Peel, Mish Mash compiled a list of the 5o favourite tunes of 2007 and broadcast the lot in a 4 hour special on Boxing Day.

footnote - there was a rule for this: only one tune per act (unlike Peel's list). looking back on it i can't quite understand in places the order i settled upon (how could anyone sane prefer the teenagers' homecoming to the offerings from beirut of plaid?). for me, this shows to me how ridiculous ordering 50 tunes is, not to mention how ridiculous i was being. still, i'm already thinking hard about the next list (in fact i have been since january). it's a pointless yet fascinating task, this.
